Nicole Austin

Nicole Austin - Part four of my E.C. author tell-all blog

With legs that reach all the way to her ass, Nicole Austin is easily one of the sexiest people I know. she's tough, smart, and everything an erotic romance author hope to grow up to become. If you read one of her stories, you'll instantly become an Austin fan. Her stories are steamy, sexy, sensual, and any other word starting with an S. She's the shit. She's the bomb. She's pretty freakin' amazing.

In addition to being a fantastic author, she's also an incredibly talented graphic artist. What she does with a simple picture and text will have you banging on an emergency room's door for more oxygen. Think I'm kidding? Wait until you see some of the cover art, book marks, or trading cards she developed. For that matter, check out her website. But get a drink of water first. You'll need to hydrate before getting so hot.

Things to know about Nic. I think if I Nic had her way, she'd always wear some rockin', hardcore boots, jeans and a slammin' T-shirt. She's a night owl. She tends to write all night and sleep all day, which explains her peaches and cream complexion. She LOVES the male body, and has more pics of naked hunky men than should be legal.

Much like me, she tends to be a bit of a contradiction. She can to be a bit of a recluse and will most likely come across as rather quiet. But know she's thinking deeply about what's being said. After she feels comfortable around someone, you'll start to see the real Nic. The Nic who is cool, quick witted, and sassy.

If you get a chance to meet Nic at Romanticon allow her to warm up to you. Ask questions, order her a margarita (her favorite drink), but remember to give her space. By the end of the evening, you'll end up great friends.

Regina Carlysle

Regina Carlysle - Part Three of my E.C. Author Tell All

Do me a favor and conjure this imagine in your head. A curvaceous, petite blonde with bright eyes and a smile bigger than Paula Deen's. Now add a healthy sprinkling of Southern charm, an infectious laugh, and genuinely friendly nature, and you have a pretty good picture of Regina Carlysle. Anyone who knows Regina but has no idea she is a writer would be floored to learn about the incredibly sensual and hot romance books she pens. Away from the writing world, she would appear too sweet and genteel to author such things. But for those of us who have read her work, we know better. On the outside she may seem like delicate Southern belle, but there's a Hell Cat living inside who definitely likes to purr.

Things to know about Regina. She is the person who cannot say no to anything or anyone. Her caring nature and upbringing simply won't allow for it. Regina has a heart of pure gold, sincerely. Regina is also the mediator, the peacemaker. She has a calming but bubbly nature about her that tends to make me think that everything will always be alright whenever she's around. Even if things aren't okay, she would probably say or do something that will make you laugh until you cry or the sides of your stomach start to hurt. She is cheerful, gracious, and has a zest for fun.

If you happen to see Regina at Romanticon, here are a few things to note. Regina really does love chocolate wine and chocolate vodka, but she's known for drifting off to other vodka flavors (like whipped cream and cotton candy.) If you want to get to know Regina for yourself, order her a flavored vodka and then sit back and enjoy the warmth and vivaciousness she exudes. You'll be glad you did.

Allie Standifer

Allie Standifer - Part Two of my E.C. Author Tell All

If you have ready any of Allie's books, her Facebook postings, or her blogs on Three Wicked Writers Plus Two, you might think the whole princess and sparkle bit she puts on is exactly that - a bit. As someone who considers Allie as one of her best friends, I can tell you Allie truly does think she's a princess and anything shiny that catches her eye will distract and entertain her for hours. This is the real Allie. I adore her for it and am glad to be one of her minions.

Things you may not know about Allie. She truly is terrified of frogs. She squirts sugar-free vanilla syrup in every diet Coke she drinks - EVERY. She carries a small plastic bottle of the stuff with her everywhere. Allie has to have at least two cups of coffee in her before she's capable of speaking coherently. She is NOT a morning person. She's one of the funniest people I know, though she honestly doesn't' think she's being funny. She's got a wicked tongue and tends to blurt out anything and everything that enters her mind. She's a died-in-the-wool American who loves, loves, loves and supports her soldiers.

Things to know if you see Allie at Romanticon. She likes to drink chocolate wine and lemon drop martinis, preferably in a glass that's been bedazzled. Mention her Poseidon or Club Botticelli books, and she'll grant you an audience. Promise to be one of her palace guards, minions, or ladies in waiting, and she'll really warm up to you. Bring her something sparkly, and she's putty in your hands.

That's my Allie for you. Now I wouldn't normally do this, but I just found out about a great review for my story, His At Last. If you have a second, check it out. http://www.mizlovelovesbooks.com/2011/09/his-at-last-by-brenna-zinn-review-2.html
Thanks for reading.

The Inside Scoop About Some E.C. Writers

With the countdown to Romanticon nearing the final hours, many of you are probably as excited as I am about meeting your favorite E.C. authors. Lucky for me, I already personally know some of these ladies. And because I love my loyal blog readers, I'm prepared to give you the inside scoop about them, dirty socks and all.

Desiree Holt

The first time I met Desiree, I asked myself what a sweet, grey-haired lady was doing at the local romance writer's meeting. We talked, became friends, then Katy bar the door, I discovered what lurks beneath her innocent exterior - a HOT mama!

Come to find out she used to manage rock bands in the seventies and eighties. She proved her fierceness in a public setting when she bull dogged a guy who was pestering me during a Romantic Times conference The bodyguard in Desiree revealed herself when she told my would-be attempt at a one night stand to shove off in no uncertain terms. At that moment, I knew she'd be a friend for life.

In addition to being a good friend, Desiree is also a prolific writer. I've seen her sit at her computer, which is tucked into a nook surrounded by at least two-thousand books (no exaggeration here) and in fifteen minutes announce she'd just written twelve hundred words. My average word count in fifteen minute? Thirty. If I'm really lucky.

There's no single word to describe Desiree. The words that immediately come to mind are loyal, giving, intelligent, and wickedly practical. Oh - and she's crazy for football, Jeopardy, and sweet wine.

If you have a chance to meet Desiree Holt, don't hesitate to speak to her. She really does love her fans and also loves to hear about how much they like her work. When you meet Desiree, you're truly seeing the real Desiree. She's as genuine as they come.

Best piece of advice when talking to Desiree? Ask if you can order her a glass of moscato wine and then tell her what books and characters of hers you liked the most and why. I promise you'll be happy you did.
