Celebrating One Night Stands

And who doesn’t want to celebrate them? Decadent Publishing is celebrating the success of their hot series. Check out these hot stories at www.decadentpublishing.com
And I’m celebrating the success of my own 1 Night Stands. Here’s a taste for you.

Night Mission
Navy SEAL Gabriel Walker didn’t think he was asking too much, just a hot woman with some brains who made his down time between missions pleasant. And maybe a little but more. Forty-something Maggie Fitzpatrick wanted a younger man with a sex drive to match her own and even smarts to hold a conversation. And maybe a little bit more. When Madame Evangeline paired them for the one night stand neither of them expected the explosive chemistry, the very hot sex…and a littler bit more.
Excerpt:
I have found the perfect match for you.
Gabriel Walker lounged back on the couch, feet propped on the coffee table, and stared at the screen on his laptop. And it stared right back at him. Yup, still there.
Her name is Maggie Fitzgerald, he read on. All of her specifics are listed in the attached document. I’ve included two photos of her as well, as you requested. All the arrangements are ready, waiting only for your confirmation. If all is acceptable, please reply to this message and I will make the appropriate arrangements at the Castillo San Antonio. Madame Evangeline.
Gabe ran a hand over his stubbled jaw. Who’d believe that an alpha Seal Team leader needed to apply to an online dating service? SEALs were supposed to have their pick of women.
Yeah, sure. But my problem is no matter which woman I pick, my interest fades before I even get my pants off.
He looked at the header on the email. 1Night Stand. Well, he’d sure had plenty of those in his lifetime. So why had he felt it necessary to arrange one so formally?
He’d stumbled on the site late one night while bored and surfing the Internet, and it had piqued his interest. Oh, what the hell. On extended leave after four back-to-back missions in the Middle East and bored out of his skull with inactivity, playing games the women he knew found so fascinating no longer appealed to him. SEALs weren’t trained to be idle, so a little harmless exploration of the 1NS web site didn’t seem too out of line. He’d even had a good laugh while he filled out the application form, specifying what he wanted in his desired companion.
At least forty. Someone with a brain who as also at the peak of her sexual desire.
Likes inventive sex A definite must.
Prefers bourbon to wine.
As he added a few more things, he told himself there was no way in a million years Madame Evangeline could find the woman he wanted.
He clicked on the attached document and up came the woman of his dreams. Right in his computer.
Maggie Fitzgerald.
Five feet four inches, one hundred thirty pounds.
Age: forty two. Exactly ten years older than him. Perfect. For the last couple of years the star of every one of his erotic fantasies had been a hot cougar. Older was definitely better.
Prefers Jack Daniel’s Black Label.
Seeking a man who likes creative sex and has great stamina.
Creative? Shit, I can do creative with my eyes closed. Not to mention staying power is never in question.
Prefers a Texan.
His eyes popped at that one. Texas born and bred, he came from a long line of natives of the Lone Star State. Had it been possible to find a woman with everything he’d asked for and one who hailed from Texas?
He read on. An architect, head of her own firm. Never married.
Good. Probably isn’t looking for it.
Next he pulled up the headshot and his cock hardened to the point of pain, tenting the soft fabric of his sweat pants.
Jesus! Talk about hot.
Dark red hair tumbled in short curls and framed a face with high cheekbones, emerald green eyes and thick lashes. Tiny lines at the corners of her eyes and a defined laugh line were the only indications this woman had passed her thirtieth birthday.
Wait. Is that a hint of a dimple on one cheek? Damn! Dimples just did it for him.

Flyover
When Chelsea Haller and Alec Ramsey find themselves marooned in a snowbound airport on their way to an arranged 1Night Stand date, little did they know an icy storm would help them heat up the sheets. En route to their 1Night Stand dates, Chelsea Haller and Alec Ramsey are stranded in the airport during an unexpected snowstorm. It doesn’t take long to discover they’re each other’s one-night stand. Lucky for them, they’re drawn together by sizzling electricity and soon forget the icy snow. As the heat between them nearly melts the sheets in Alec’s hotel room, their night of erotic adventure surpasses anything they expected from a 1Night Stand.

Excerpt:
He walked up behind her and hesitated a moment before resting his hands on her shoulders. When she didn’t try to shrug him off or move away, he knew she felt the same attraction he did. Was he moving too fast? Hell, sex was the main item on the night’s agenda, anyway. They both knew it. If she shut him down he’d be no worse off than before.
But she didn’t. When he brushed aside her thick mane of hair and skimmed his lips over the soft skin of her neck, a shiver ran through her. A silent acceptance of his touch. God, she smelled so good, like flowers and the ocean and sin. He licked her skin lightly then nibbled on the lobe of one ear.
She pressed back against him and he turned her to face him, studying her for a moment then brushed his mouth over hers. Her lips were lush and full and tempting, with the feel of soft velvet. Tracing the seam of them with the tip of his tongue, he urged her to open for him and thrust inside her.
Jesus!
Her mouth was hot and liquid, her tongue dancing like a live wire. He moved his hands up and down her back, feeling the heat of her through the fabric of the dress. She gripped his biceps with her fingers and when she pressed her lower body against his, every nerve in his body fired. He wanted to go slow, take it easy. Give her the chance to get used to him. They’d barely gotten to know each other. But his body and brain were engaged in a fierce battle for control.

Is it wrong to say I didn’t do much research?

Hi all! Cassandra Dean here, ready to chat about FOOL’S GOLD!

Part of Decadent Publishing’s Western Escape, FOOL’S GOLD is the second in my Diamond Series. Set in the fictional town of Freewill, Wyoming, The Diamond Series centres around The Diamond Saloon and Theater, and the people who work and live there.

In FOOL’S GOLD, Christmas Eve has arrived and herald the beginning of a blizzard. Pearl la Monte, singer and star of the Diamond Theater’s Burlesque and Variety Spectacular, is by her lonesome, wanting nothing more than to rest and relax. A knock at the door disabuses her of this notion, and when she finds Ethan Garrett on the other side, her ire is raised…

Christmas in Freewill

Christmas Eve, the Diamond Saloon is empty of its people, and Pearl la Monte has a hankering to retire early. A pounding at the Diamond’s door rids her of such a fool notion. Her irritation rises when she sees the prissy, polite-like Garrett standing outside.

Ethan Garrett has a powerful need to gain succor. When the saloon’s voluptuous redheaded singer scowls at him from the threshold of the Diamond, he doesn’t stop to think on how his ire at her has disappeared. Or how he just wants to spend some time in her company.

When a blizzard storms in, trapping them, will they spend their time arguing or find their irritation for each other disguises something more?

The great thing about the second in a series is all the preliminary work is done. The world has been created, the historical references have been researched, the characters and their relationships are mostly established. It made writing FOOL’S GOLD not that painful, which is always nice! I could focus on other things, bits and pieces that helped make up the world.

Of course, I still had to figure out who Pearl and Ethan were, what drives them, what scares them, what drew them to each other. This was definitely the hard part. In fact, I realised after beginning that I had Ethan and Pearl’s personalities the wrong way round – originally, Ethan was the flirty one and Pearl the quieter one. SO VERY WRONG. Once I realised I was writing them wrong, swapped the dialogue around and had Pearl being all flirty and cheeky and stuff, it worked much better. Golly, it’s amazing when you realise such things! It’s like a lightbulb above your head, to be all clichéd about it ;p The story worked better, the characters were finally sounding like themselves, and it all just flowed.

So there you go! Not much research, and I had a complete story done and dusted. Gotta love it when that happens :) I hope you all check out The Diamond Series, and the people who inhabit it.

Thanks for hanging with me, peeps!

 Excerpt:

Turning on her heel, Pearl marched off toward the stairs.

A weird kind of panic jolted through Ethan, one he’d never felt before in all his days. It was…he didn’t…. She couldn’t leave him. “Where are you going?”

She whirled to face him, her irritation plain. “I was seeking my bed before your arrival, and now I’m seeking it again. Help yourself to whiskey this one time. I got better things to do.”

Shoving to his feet, he strode to her. “Don’t just walk away when we’re discussing things.”

“We ain’t discussing nothing. You’ll be down here, waiting out the blizzard. I’ll be in my bed, doing what I was gonna before you arrived. That’s the end of it.”

Taking a step, she made to leave him. Again.

He grabbed her arm. “Don’t leave me.”

“Don’t tell me what to do.” Glaring at him, she stood before the bar, her magnificent hair slipping from its pins, her breasts rising and falling.

Abruptly, his mouth went dry. Clearing his throat some, he said, “You’re supposed to offer succor to those in need.”

“We’re closed, remember?” Paint-less lips pressed tight together, she glared up at him.

They were so close he could see the faint marks of freckles on her skin.

Pearl La Monte had freckles.

A kind of haze came over him, tightening his skin and bringing with it something all-fired powerful and completely unstoppable. All the years he’d known her crashed through him, all the times she’d flirted with him and meant something else, all the times he’d seen her perform on stage and wished he could have held such fire.

Grabbing her upper arms, he hauled her against him and, ignoring her shocked gasp, he covered her mouth with his.

Chocolate Wine??

Chocolate wine.

The two words together remind me of one of my favorite jokes told by Jim GaffiganFruit cake. There's a food that doesn't add up. Fruit - good. Cake - great. Fruit cake - nasty crap.

The same would seem to be true of chocolate wine. Chocolate - good. Wine- great. Chocolate wine??

At least that was what I thought when about four of the Sassy 7 introduced chocolate wine to me.

"Try it," they said.

"I don't think I'll like it," I wined. (Sorry. I know that was bad, but I had to. I just had to.)

"It's delicious," they contended.

"But I don't drink." I protested. "Oh, okay. Just a taste."

If you ask any of the Sassy 7 if this is really how my first experience with chocolate wine went down, I'm sure you'll hear something completely different. Like how I'm really a lush and will drink about anything. Lies. All lies.

Well, maybe not entirely untrue.

Okay. I'm a lush.

Chocolate wine is actually extremely tasty. Delicious. Imagine mixing thick chocolate milk with vodka. That's what chocolate wine tastes like to me. From everything I've read, it really is wine.
The wine we drink is ChocoVine. If you check out their website, you'll not only get some very good recipes on how to use ChocoVine, you can also see videos of a bartender walking through how to mix the recipes. They're fabulous.

Chocolate wine is one of the key items in a Valentine's Day gift featured in my February 7th release of Going Down, as well as all of Decadent Publishing's The Edge stories from the Sassy 7.

Want a taste of Going Down? Well, check it out below.  Want to buy the book for just $1.49?  (I know, it's a steal, right??)  Click HERE to buy.

Going Down Excerpt:

Once the door closed, Steven reached over me to push the Ground Floor button on the control panel, pressing his huge, six-foot something body against mine. For a crazy moment I wanted to poke at his stomach. Nobody really had rock hard abs. Surely the wall of steel pushing into me was a result of wearing a bulletproof vest, not spending hours in a gym.
“I don’t think we’ve ever been introduced. I’m Steven Cayden.”
Little did he know, I not only knew his name, but thanks to the internet and the insignia on his military uniform, I had also figured out Steven Cayden was actually Lieutenant Commander Steven Cayden, a member of the United States Navy Seal team. A highly decorated Lieutenant Commander that.
Heart pounding enough blood into my brain to cause a seizure, I verbally stumbled over my own name. “I...I’m Michelle Bishop.”
He lowered his lips to my ear. “It’s nice to finally meet you, Michelle.”
Hearing him say my name with his captivating voice had my stomach doing more flip flops than an Olympic gymnast on the uneven bars. The crazy way my body reacted, he may as well have said, “I know you’re wearing nothing but a bra and panties under that coat of yours. I’m going to rip that sucker open and tear your thong off with my bare teeth.”
But before I had a chance to utter a word, the lights went out and the elevator came to a screeching, bone-shattering halt. Suddenly the world was quiet and pitch black.

When A Lady Meets A King

I have to admit, I'm totally in love with the title of my upcoming release, When A Lady Meets A King.

I'm a sucker for stories with Ladies, Kings, and anything having to do with royalty.  But, in the case of my story, my King has an interesting and unexpected (I'm hoping) twist.

This sexy read is fast, flirty, and fun (the fabulous 3 Fs), and is just one story of The Naughty Sleepover series from the Sassy Seven Authors that is coming out this Monday from Decadent Publishing.

Here's an excerpt...

Her English accent, both refined and seductive, lingered in his head like a favorite melody. Burton leaned in and took her hand in his, noting the softness of her touch and the aroma of her perfume. Vanilla and warm brown sugar. She smelled like a fresh baked cookie perfect for eating. He stopped himself from licking his lips.  "I'm Burton King.  It's my pleasure. Mind if I join you?"

Before answering, Emma took a deep inhale and released it. In that brief moment her demeanor abruptly changed. Like a switch had been flipped somewhere deep inside her, the vulnerable lamb suddenly vanished.

"Absolutely Mr. King. My pleasure." She removed her purse from the bar stool next to hers and patted the wood seat. "I was hoping this wouldn't stay empty for long."

Once high pitched and riddled with fear, her voice was now low and steady. Her trembling body now calm. If he hadn't had his eye on Emma from the moment she left the hotel lobby, he would have sworn the lady sitting at the bar was an entirely different woman.

Her shift from damsel in distress mode triggered an alarm to ding in his head. Something about this situation was off. Just plain wrong. No doubt he should turn around and leave this pot of brewing trouble behind. Didn't he already have enough on his plate?

But now that he'd seen her up close-good Lord the woman was beautiful-he couldn't walk away. Budding lust and intrigue kept his feet cemented to the floor.

Why is this gorgeous woman here all alone?
----

For those of you who don't know, The Naughty Sleepover series is based in the beautiful Menger Hotel in San Antonio, the very same hotel that The Naughty Sleepover Celebration will take place this coming February.  If you haven't registered for this totally decadent weekend, then do while there's still space available.  We've limited the registrants to just 200.  Why? Because this is a reader-oriented event.  We want to give erotic romance readers a chance to meet and get to know their favorite erotica authors.

Which authors will be there?  Great question.  Besides the Sassy Seven (Desire Holt, Cerise Deland, Nicole Austin, Allie Standifer, Regina Carlysle, Samantha Cato, and ME!), you can expect to see Laurann Dohner, Joey Hill, Dalton Diaz, and so many more.  Click HERE for the current list of authors.

We're all looking forward to meeting YOU!

Until Tuesday my lovelies, ciao.
